HeadWay Issue #208 Top (mostly) Practical Stories from 2021 December 21, 2021 |
Hi! In this issue: Top (mostly) Practical Stories from 2021!A Thank YouSay what?! HolidayTop (mostly) Practical Stories from 2021!For this special edition of HeadWay, we will be looking at the top (mostly) practical stories of 2021 from Headache and Migraine News. There were a lot of news stories and informational articles, but here are a few that I think were especially useful. Mostly.
A Thank YouI just want to stop at the end of this year to send a personal thank you to the thousands of people who read HeadWay, and also those who are reading and sharing articles at Headache and Migraine News. Oh! And also, a thanks to those who have donated to the Migraine Research Foundation, who we have especially supported over the past few years. It's amazing what can happen when more people focus on a problem, when they share information, comment, debate, question, share new ideas, and just offer support. The work goes on, because migraine, cluster headache, and other types of headaches, are still affecting and disabling so many. But with your support, many people have fewer symptoms or are migraine-free. And a load of new research has been completed, and new treatments have emerged. Thanks for being a part of it through HeadWay and Headache and Migraine News! Any may there be much more good news in 2022. Say what?! HolidayThe word "holiday" has slightly different uses in different countries around the world. It may be more related to a "bank holiday" (what we call a statutory holiday in Canada). It may refer to something you do to get away and relax (more commonly "vacation" in the USA). Or it could refer to the big cultural events, such as Christmas. For someone who suffers from headaches, holidays can be difficult, especially if they focus on one day, with changes of diet and schedule. But this is not a lamentation - it's an exhortation - to make sure you get a "holiday" in the next few weeks. It might have to be parts of several days. But rest, reflect, connect, and celebrate. No excuses! Thanks for reading! Remember, if you have feedback or ideas for future issues, visit the HeadWay MailRoom. Your password is nomoache. |
